Horizontal compactor: less volume, fewer trips.
The compaction press solves the storage and transport of large quantities of waste: it reduces the volume of MSW, organic biomass, plastic and cardboard and loads them directly onto the truck.
Horizontal compactor Compaction station
A hydraulic ram exerts a force of about 1,500 kN and turns waste into 23 m³ high-density bales: more efficient transport and optimised storage costs.
With municipal solid waste at an initial density of 350 kg/m³, it reaches 800 kg/m³, i.e. half the initial volume. On request the compaction force can be increased, reducing the volume even further.
The cycle is managed by a PLC with a Siemens operator panel. The machine can be integrated into the layout of a transfer station, with automatic lines that save time and costs.

The work cycle
A conveyor belt loads the material into the compaction chamber. When the maximum volume is reached, a ram pushes the waste forward and frees up space in the loading chamber, increasing the compacted mass. The process continues until the target output or maximum volume is reached: at that point the press performs the final compaction and transfers the load onto the truck. The PLC resets the parameters and prepares the next cycle.
Height adjustment system
Best in class: it adjusts the height of the entire structure to align it with different types of truck and transfer any compacted material. A more economical version with fixed feet instead of hydraulic ones is also available.
