Recovery of Materials from Solar Panels

Our technologies allow for the recovery of up to 98% of the entire weight of the panel. Specifically, in addition to the cables recovered as they are, from a 21 kg photovoltaic panel, we can obtain 15 kg of glass, almost 3 kg of plastic material, 2 kg of aluminum from the panel frame, 1 kg of silicon powder, and 10 kg of copper. The line consists of a set of machines, whose synchronization allows for the decomposition of the panels into all their parts, in such a way as to obtain at the end of the line the materials separated by type, ready to be recycled. The glass obtained has a size ranging from 1 to 3 mm. The capacity of the photovoltaic panel recycling lines differs according to the customer's needs and the materials to be processed. The treated materials are then recovered to be reused in new production processes. The glass can be used for the production of new photovoltaic panels or other glass products, silicon can be used in the production of new photovoltaic devices, while aluminum, plastic, and copper can be recycled to create new products.
